Get Registered On Time! Registration deadline is Sunday, May 6th.

Fundraisers - Campers have an opportunity to 'earn' their way to a free week of summer camp this year! For students to choose to participate in the fundraisers, credit will be earned on a scale of participation (see camper policy below). If you are interested in participating in fundraisers, you will need to contact Annette at the church office no later than Sunday, March 11th so we can make adequate arrangements for fundraisers and adult supervision.

Our first fundraiser is in conjunction with the JCYM Bowl-A-Thon on Sunday, March 25. All interested campers need to pick up a Bowl-A-Thon packet from Pastor Todd and start getting pledges. Each camper will need to earn a minimum of $100 in pledges. Rather than receiving a bonus gift card, the equivalent funds will be deposited into the Camper Fund and a percentage of your base fees will be paid for summer camp!

2012 Camp Fees - Below listed are the base fees for the 2012 season. If a camper chooses to purchase a camp video, camp picture and/or signs up for activities that require an additional fee, those fees are the responsibility of the camper. Also, for Horsemanship Camps we will pay the highest base listed ($297) and the camper will have the responsibility of picking up the remaining cash balance.

Rhodes Grove is an affiliate campground of the United Brethren in Christ Church. Rhodes Grove offers a variety of activities to encourage and challenge the youngest of children through those in their teen years. Campers are encouraged to learn more about God's Word, to experience new activities, learn to know new friends and possibly even learn a new skill or two - such as archery, horsemanship, swimming, rocketry and on and on. Opportunities are also available for adult and teen staff (ie counselors, wranglers or kitchen crew). To contact the campground directly call: 717-375-4162 or visit the "official" Rhodes Grove website at www.rhodesgrove.com

Women's Ministry

Wintry Fun! Join us for our upcoming events. Dessert Night will be held at Applebees on Thursday, February 9, at 7:00 p.m. Please RSVP by calling Kajsa Averill or the Church Office. Mocha Morning will be held at Starbucks (Staunton) at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 10th. Come and connect with other ladies from the church and/or community. Bring a friend!

New Discipleship/Bible Study! We are thrilled to have three classes running simultaneously this winter. Book 2 (The Spirit-Filled Follower) and possibly Book 1 (Your Life in Christ) will be taught in the Spring. Most studies run from 5-6 weeks long. All ladies are invited to join us! Cost is only $5.00 per person. For more information, please contact Annette Sites.

Single Mom Support!  Single mom's are invited to join our 'Hope & Help' study on Wednesday nights from 7:05 - 8:10 p.m. in conjunction with the KFC schedule.  Contact Karen Carpenter for more details.

KISSES KREW is an outreach to support and encourage our local school teachers. KISSES stands for Kindness is Simple, Supportive, Easy and Sweet. We will plan 'mailbox surprises' throughout the school year for teachers at BGHS and Churchville Elementary. Even the 'craft challeged' can help with these special gifts of encouragement, and we could use a few more willing hands. Our next worknight is Wednesday, March 7 at 6:00 p.m. For more information, please contact Annette Sites.

Lifelifters - This group of gals meets about once a quarter to connect and encourage our pastors' wives. Between gatherings, however, is where the important part happens - prayer. If you have a sense of passion to uphold our pastors' wives in prayer throughout the year, please consider becomming a Lifelifter. For more information, contact Pat Fry.

'Girlfriends' - This ministry is multi-faceted and includes quarterly events. It is also connected with the KISSES Krew and Baby Basket outreach ministries.

Men's Ministry

"Courageous" studies will begin the week of January 15. These four-week courses are great for both dads and men, in general. Classes will be held on Sundays from 3:00-4:30 p.m. with Pastor Todd and Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 p.m. with Pastor Denny (or mix/match if your schedule requires it).  Cost is only $5.00.  Sign up at the 'Welcome Center' in the churhc foyer or call Pastor Todd.

Men's Brotherhood - This group of men meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the church library. Their focus is geared toward raising funds for local and foreign mission projects.

Chicken BBQ's are held periodically throughout the year. This is mostly a Saturday morning project, and men of all ages are welcome to get in on the experience.

Fundraising Buffets are typically held twice a year - once in the Spring and Fall.  Whether you can cook or not, there's a spot to get involved and pitch in and help - early or late in the day!

Pork Pull! - Typically, the church holds a "Homecoming" Service and meal on the fourth Sunday of June. When we're able to have a "pork roast" on the Saturday prior, we're always in need of help in the afternoon as we take the pig off of the grill and get busy making it ready for eating the following day (plus, you might just get to sample a taste or two!).

Action Packed Events! Pastor Todd is quite often looking for men (young or old) to help chaperone events with the youth ministry. Activities in the past have included such events as: Hamburg Bass Pro Trip, Paintballing Trip, Amusement Park Trip, Ski Trip, etc. While the heart of the ministry to youth is connecting with the kids and sharing the love of Christ with them - there are quite often some really awesome avenues of fun that go right alongside the experience. Contact Pastor Todd if you'd like to learn more about what possibilities are coming up in the near future!

If you have any questions about these events, please contact the church office, and we'll try to get you all the information you'll need to get involved.
