Opportunities in 2019!
We would love to have you join us in these exciting activities in the months to come!
Inspirations! You and your friends are invited to help us create a beautiful quilt to be hung in our children’s area here at the church.  This particular quilt features Bible Story blocks to spark conversation and bring inspiration into our children’t hearts.  We plan to meet about 1 to 2 times per month, and our first gathering will be from 6:30 to 8:30 on Tuesday, January 29 in the church fellowship hall.  The quilt top is all ‘no sew’ — created by fusing/ironing the cut out pieces together.  We’ll even do a little refresher on the Bible Story told in our blocks.  This quilt is being made in honor and memory of Sue Armstrong’s life and her ministry here at Jerusalem Chapel.  If you’d like to learn more, please contact Annette Sites at 337-6411, ext. 221.
Women’s Ministry Team Meeting!  Our bi-annual planning meeting will be held on Monday, January 28, at 7:00pm here at the church.  If you’d like to get more involved in the leadership aspect of Women’s Ministry and coordinating events, Bible studies or outreach, please plan to join us as we share ideas and plan for the year.  We’ll be meeting in the ‘basement meeting room’ – across from the fellowship hall.
Rhodes Grove!  As you make plans for your new calendar, be sure to check out the 2019 Rhodes Grove Camp Dates posted here.  To learn more about how your kids and grandkids can enjoy a week at a great Christian camp next summer, call the church office.  Not only can JC kids and teen attend Rhodes Grove for free, bur their friends can earn camp credit as well!
Sharing God’s Love!  We invite you to serve as a Greeter prior to Worship Hour some Sunday.  What’s involved?  Come early, share a friendly welcome and a bulletin to all those who have come to worship.  Sign-up at the Welcome Center, and pick a Sunday that works for you!  For more details call Patty Nulty.
Opportunities to Serve!  UB Global is looking for a few more individuals to join their work teams headed to Sierra Leone, West Africa.  Each team will go for two weeks (in February and March), working alongside locals to build a new roof for the maternity unit at the Mattru Hospital.  The main work will be welding.  We have three welders along with others familiar with construction.  The trip cost is around $3000.  If interested contact Michelle Harris, UB  Global Assoc. Director at michelle@ub.org or 1-888-622-3019.  Note:  There is also an English Camp in Poland being planned for June 22-July 3.  More details at ubglobal.org/events/trips.
